The ASL Garaiya is an interesting concept car, having been developed by a company generally more well-known as a retailer. But if its a retailer for automotive and performance parts, its not that far-fetched.
The Garaiya was to be powered by a SR20VE, a still-new engine at the time with the Primera still using it, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It was projected to enter production in the same year that it was unveiled to the public, but development issues killed it off in the end. 12 were made in the end, with only 4 being production cars and 1 being modified to GT300-spec for the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC).
Kaido Racer 2 / Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Drift 2 featured the car, alongside Gran Turismo 4 - making the Garaiya a bit of a 2000s oddity that if you know, you know. Its a shame these never really became a real produced vehicle.
