Linus:
Satria Neo brochure for Japanese market.
As a matter of fact, Proton was a brand that was offered in the Japanese market, albeit to almost all sources' knowledge, the Satria Neo was the only vehicle offered.
Distributed (supposedly) under CARROSSER, known more infamously as CUSCO, the Satria Neo was generally sold with the pretense that the vehicle was to be used in motorsports, specifically rallying.
Protons Japanese website depicts the Satria Neo (and only it) undergoing rally stages.
Parts are available through the Proton website, with components for motorsport use such as reinforcement parts (struct bars), mounts, engine parts (generally maintainence related, ex. oil filter, rad cap), clutch and limited slip differentials.
Four stages of the Satria Neo are offered: Type A-D, with a starting price of 1.32 million yen.
As seen in the photo, each type / specification will see multiple stages of how the Satria Neo can be offered to buyers - as a standard car all the way up to a race-prepared unit with CUSCO parts for added measure.
There is more information on the Japanese Proton website with more images and information, and I strongly urge you to take a look.
